Don't Worry About The Damn Contract... They'll Just Forge Your Signature If They Feel Like It
A Grim Little Tale From the SprintPCS Sux Discussion Forum
I was a Sprint customer for nearly 7 years. After years of bad service, I finally decided that I needed to find a new company. I called and found out the exact date that my contract expired. When I did, They asked why I wanted to know. I told them that I was going to cancel my contract, and in retaliation, they put me under a new 2 year contract! Now they call every day and demand money, even though I've made it clear that I am not responsible for any contract that I didn't agree to. They said by paying my invoice I accepted the contract, which so far was "agreed to" on 9 different dates over the course of the past year. They claimed that the contract was written on the bill. WRONG! After I couldn't find it on any bills, (I have kept every one since I became a customer) I called back and was told that I was misinformed. They also said that I had went into a store and signed a contract. That is a lie, as I do all business over the phone.
When I asked for a copy of the signed contract, They said it is priveleged information, and I'm not authorized to view it! I will be spending some time hanging out around Sprint retailers to inform potential new customers that SprintPCS engages in illegal extortion and blackmail. No contract is required because they will forge your signature. Beware potential customer: Sprint has a record of breaking the law to rip off their customers.

Back in 2005 there was no "Right plan promise" which allowed an exemption for non-renewal for a plan change or accepting a Service Agreement renewal offer (giving you something in exchange for renewal of the agreement). It's *very* easy to assume that if you are a fickle person that the agreement will be renewed.
"They claimed that the contract was written on the bill. WRONG! After I couldn't find it on any bills, (I have kept every one since I became a customer) I called back and was told that I was misinformed."
This is another funny argument....imagine in any other endeavor of life asking 10 or 20 people something do you *really* expect to have everyone tell you the same info verbatim
"They also said that I had went into a store and signed a contract. "
Most normal people do. What probably happened was you bitched and moaned over the phone and had a supervisor listen to your bitching and whining and we tried to get info about your complete lack of responsibility and haggling over a charge. It's happened before. It will happen again.
"That is a lie, as I do all business over the phone."
Do you want a metal? Honestly you took the lazy way out...
"When I asked for a copy of the signed contract, They said it is priveleged information, and I'm not authorized to view it!"
For *any* customer service system that customer service has over the phone we have *never* been able to print out signed copies of a customer's contract no matter how much they fucking bitch. Honestly you should realize that just because something can be dreamed up doesn't mean that it can be done.
It's 2009 almost and we *still* have no ability to do that.
"I will be spending some time hanging out around Sprint retailers to inform potential new customers that SprintPCS engages in illegal extortion and blackmail."
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha fucking ha. You are probably also one of those customer's that I see occasionally with notes on your account like---"...customer thrown out of sprint store...." Give me a break 'extortion'...'blackmail' take a look at a neat little document called "terms and conditions" on the sprint web site. Frankly that will prove legally illuminating especially the part where we determine that you can't even directly sue us just agree to an arbitration agreement.
I doubt that you will convince anyone of anything except your own lack of an internal locus of control.
"No contract is required because they will forge your signature."
No dumb ass they didn't what they *did* do was maybe not tell you everything every single time. What was done was completely legal and if you had just actually talked to account services they may have done something.
Now you are fucked in the rain and will just have your ass in an Outside Collection Agency. Your agreement date was extended either by 1) greed 2) ignorance 3) stupidity and or a combination of all 3.
"Beware potential customer: Sprint has a record of breaking the law to rip off their customers."
Bullshit customer's got cell phones they couldn't pay and have people who think that a 1950's ethos of customer relations is still in effect.
But by all means just *try* and sue we have whole grundle load of lawyers to counter anything probably working in a nice swanky call center like the miserable slaves who have to answer your fucking phone calls all day. Rmember don't piss off someone who has all your own personal info at their disposal.
Hahahaha at the other comment. Dudes a dumbass, he can now just use your comment in a legal battle.
"Rmember don't piss off someone who has all your own personal info at their disposal."
Thats always great to say.
Just shut up man, your company blackmailed him and forged his signature. Fail.
That Phillip dude is the one thats the dumbass.
Amen! Sprint does has very illegal dealings. I too had a contract renewed when I did not authorize it. It cost me over $500 worth of bills before they would reverse the contract. Long story but not only did they illegally renew my contract, but they added extra charges...and if I didn't pay, I couldn't switch to another carrier...and they would cancel my phone number which I use for business. I should have just paid the cancellation fee and been done with it. Sprint has HORRIBLE customer service and I always feel like I've been sold a bill of goods. I now have a Palm 755 which breaks all the time. I have replacement insurance, but they always tell me that I can upgrade and extend my contract. I don't have a contract with Sprint...nor do I want one...but I want the friggin' phone to work. I'm going over to Verizon. I've heard that they are the easiest carrier to deal with. I hope that Sprint goes under. They truly deserve it.
Phil is a RIOT. Someone should give him a "metal"- HA!
We started a phone company (www.TalkBoxMe.com) just to show Vonage how it should be, with a focus on customers paying less and getting more. Our voice quality worldwide is the highest available.
We're not competing with the price-quality offering of MagicJack. We're competing with AT&T with their high level of quality, but provided at a far more affordable price... High quality and great value without compromise!
Our growth has been viral, mostly word of mouth and Vonage refugees. It's because we have no hidden fees, no credit checks, no long-term contract and it's all billed month-to month. We have five stores in Los Angeles to help our customers feel connected with their phone company. Our TV ad was banned because Ma Bell complained. See it on YouTube at
